 Νοτιοδυτικά του Vladikavkaz, πρωτεύουσας της ρωσικής δημοκρατίας της Βόρειας Οσετίας-Αλάνιας, βρίσκεται το συναρπαστικό χωριό Dargavs της εποχής του Χαλκού.

 Το Dargavs έχει ποικίλη εντυπωσιακή αρχιτεκτονική, συμπεριλαμβανομένων οχυρωμένων πύργων και μια νεκρόπολη για 97 τάφους. Έχει επίσης μια ενδιαφέρουσα περιοχή ταφής που χρονολογείται από την πρώτη χιλιετία μ.Χ.


 Κάθε οικογένεια είχε τον δικό της τάφο, αλλά οι νεκροί δεν θάβονταν σε τάφο στη γη αλλά τοποθετούνταν στον τάφο μέσω ειδικού ανοίγματος, το οποίο έκλεινε μετά με μια ξύλινη ασπίδα. Όταν ολόκληρος ο χώρος γέμισε, τα μνήματα χαμήλωσαν για να δώσουν χώρο για περαιτέρω ταφές, επιτρέποντας σε περισσότερους από 100 ανθρώπους να θαφτούν στον ίδιο τάφο.
